Relocating to South Florida: Brickell vs. Aventura vs. Pembroke Pines
By Jessica Gonzalez
When clients relocate to South Florida, the first question is rarely about price. It is about lifestyle. Three of the areas I serve most often show just how different that lifestyle can be. Here is how Brickell, Aventura, and Pembroke Pines compare.
Brickell: urban high-rise living
Brickell is Miami's walkable financial core: a skyline of luxury condo towers wrapped around Brickell City Centre, waterfront parks, and a dense restaurant and nightlife scene.
Best for: professionals, pied-à-terre buyers, and investors who want walkability, rental strength, and an energetic, urban pace.
Aventura: resort-style and family-friendly
Aventura blends high-rise condominium living with a strong, family-oriented community at the northern edge of Miami-Dade, anchored by the Aventura Mall, top schools, and lush parks.
Best for: families, retirees, and second-home buyers who want amenities, security, and good schools with easy beach access.
Pembroke Pines: space and value
In Broward County, Pembroke Pines offers spacious single-family homes, master-planned communities, and consistently strong public schools, with easy commutes between Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
Best for: growing families who want square footage, yards, and value outside the urban core.
How to choose
I walk relocating buyers through a simple framework:
- Commute: where will you actually be each day?
- Lifestyle: high-rise energy, resort amenities, or suburban space?
- Budget: what does your money buy in each area?
- Timeline: buying now, or renting first to learn the area?
Relocating is a lot to manage. I coordinate mortgage, title, inspections, and every detail so the move feels seamless, in English and Spanish. Let's talk about which South Florida fits you.
